Defines the types of a Redis Connection. The connection type is used to validate the type of commands that are allowed for a given connection.

Enum Constant Detail

SHARED

public static final ConnectionType SHARED

Indicates a SHARED Connection Type which is Thread Safe. This is the default value and it does not allow blocking commands like BLOP and also with WATCH command. Commands MULTI..EXEC should be passed together in an Array of CommandInfo's.

BORROWED

public static final ConnectionType BORROWED

Indicates a BORROWED connection type not Thread Safe. Connections for from a connection pool are of this type. The restrictions are similar to a SHARED connection except that WATCH is allowed.

STANDALONE

public static final ConnectionType STANDALONE

Indicates a STANDALONE connection type not Thread Safe. All commands except SUBSCRIBE and PSUBSCRIBE are allowed. For using this connection type a new AsyncRedisConnection has to be created with STANDALONE as the connectionType.

Returns an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared. This method may be used to iterate over the constants as follows:

for (ConnectionType c : ConnectionType.values())
    System.out.println(c);

Returns:

an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared

valueOf

public static ConnectionType valueOf(String name)

Returns the enum constant of this type with the specified name. The string must match exactly an identifier used to declare an enum constant in this type. (Extraneous whitespace characters are not permitted.)

Parameters:

name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.

Returns:

the enum constant with the specified name

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - if this enum type has no constant with the specified name

NullPointerException - if the argument is null
